5 Steps for Living by Desire, Not Default – Ania Makowska

Introduction

This guest blog post is by Ania Makowska who has studied the teachings of Bob Proctor and is sharing with us the 5 steps needed to live a life by desire, all starting with a mindset shift; asking specific questions and taking the steps necessary to get started. We all need clarify from time to time and can easily get caught up in procrastination and old limiting beliefs. I see Ania everywhere popping up on social and running coaching programs to help people along the journey.


Living by desire, not default 

 

For many years I truly believed that money comes and goes, and I was  happy when I had enough to pay my bills and have a bit of savings to go on a good holiday trip once a year. 

 

I never thought about the future or retiring early.

 

Everything changed for me when I came a cross teachings of Bob Proctor

And I actually started to think.

I understood that up until this point in my life I was ‘working on the old programming that was installed’ in my mind by my parents and the environment I grew up in.

 

When I realized that we are able to create our own future by changing our thoughts, perceptions and beliefs, life became so much more fun and now I wake up everyday excited to be able to share that knowledge with others  and help them to change their lives.

It all starts in the mind!

 

Whatever we believe becomes our truth, unfortunately we often live by beliefs that were inherited in our minds and we don’t argue with them, we are not even checking if we actually agree with them, I sure didn’t for a long time.

 

Perhaps, you have heard as a child, like I did, something like  ‘money is hard to get’ or ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’ or ‘the most secure way is to get a 9 to 5 job… government job is best’ and now it is what you are doing and it’s going ok-ish for you.

You come home from work a little tired, you sit down for few minutes (if you are lucky), then you look after kids, dinner, prep for next day and maybe you watch some tv and …life goes on day by day and you do not have time to even ask yourself

‘WHAT DO I REALLY WANT FROM LIFE?’

 

You may, you may not have a passion right now, it doesn’t really matter as you  have no time for it  anyway because life is happening to you.

 

But if somewhere deep you feel that there is more in life, that you are not feeling satisfied with your current situation, it is your time to begin to change something, and you need to start with making a COMMITTED DECISION.

 

You don’t need money to start, you don’t need extra hours in the day, you just must make the decision and begin to think.

 

The moment you sit down and ask yourself some questions and truly answer them, you’re gonna start to shift your ‘old programming’.

You are going to start to think of life that YOU WANT to live!

 

Powerful questions you can ask yourself:

..Take your time on answering them.

  • What do I really WANT my life to look like in 1- 5-10-15 years?
  • How do I really WANT to spend my days?
  • What do I WANT for my family?
  • How much time do I WANT to spend with my family every day 

The next step would be growing the belief that it is possible for you to live the way you WANT and that life is actually happening for you not for you.

Now, when you get excited and you build desire for more in life, you have to start taking actions to build the future you WANT. Coming up with strategy and moving to action is the final step to achieve your goals, and I think FIRE can help with the wealth consciousness .It’s important to choose the strategy you like and enjoy implementing it. 

5 simple steps to Start:

Summarizing it, there are 5 simple steps that  you must do to begin the change if you feel there is more in life for you.

  1. Make a decision you want more and that you are going for it
  2. Clarify what you really WANT.
  3. Identify your limiting beliefs and shift them.
  4. Find a strategy that will work for you.
  5. Move to action at once  if you feel ready or not.
